Official Trailer
‘Dream Stall’ is an English-Mandarin feature film set in Singapore about a prodigal daughter finding her way home between grief and glamour. When Enya’s father decides to shut down the family’s hawker stall, she steps in to save it against his wishes. Faced with the dilemmas and realities of the social media fame game in entrepreneurship, Enya is ultimately confronted by the question of what the world is worth if it costs her soul.

The (True) Story
When “Crazy Rich Asians” made global headlines back in 2018, Singaporeans know the film is far from the fullest story or representation of the Singapore we deeply connect with.
Beyond the Asian model minority myth in America and Singapore’s MBS skylines or Gardens by the Bay, we believe we are actually so much richer.
Our richest asset and story may be our community kinship (or kampong) spirit, especially in a world increasingly grappling with human isolation.
This is our story for the world.
With Bay Area as our hub, Eight Parables joins SingaporeConnect to bring made in Singapore and Southeast Asian films to the USA West Coast.
It takes a kampong. Join the movement.
